The Village’s

Featured Business

A cozy nook, a friendly welcome, and a delicious homemade eggplant parm with ziti was just what the Doc ordered last night as the temps dropped into the teens.  I can’t say enough about Donna Tamarro’s hospitality.

Tamarros Cucina is a sweet respite from the February doldrums and it is literally 5 min from Manchester Airport in Litchfield.  A great spot to get away from lines and noise and have someone pour you a couple of reds.

As I munched on Donna’s delicious cookies on the way home, I thought about a small restaurant in NYC a thousand years ago where the owner literally cooked in front of you while he poured you wine and regaled you with Italian tales and stories.  It never fails to amaze me how food is so connected to these memories.  Just because someone special like Donna knows how to make a killer tomato sauce.
